Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. There are multiple surgical options for women today. These include breast conservation with radiation or mastectomy and reconstruction.

We offer the post mastectomy patient various methods of reconstruction including autologous tissue utilizing a patient's own muscle and soft tissue for reconstruction or breast expansion with eventual implant placement. Our office is sensitive to the special needs of our breast cancer patients.

Dr. Sorensen has recently been able to dramatically improve the final aesthetic result in breast cancer reconstruction with fat grafting utilizing donor sites from the abdomen or back. This often gives the breast a more natural look and feel than can be achieved by standard reconstruction methods alone and often provides an additional benefit of reducing unwanted fat deposits.
